Débora Schalch is a renowned lawyer with over 30 years of experience in the legal field and recognized by national and international rankings. Founder of Schalch Advogados in 1992, Débora has built a solid career, especially in large operations in the insurance and reinsurance sector. In addition, she is known for her work in arbitrations, administrative law cases and her advice on claims adjustment and strategic litigation is also highly recommended, with an exceptional performance in claims of great technical complexity and financial magnitude.

Throughout her career, Débora has held prominent positions and contributed significantly to the field of law. She served as President of the Insurance Law Committee of the OAB/SP and served as Advisor to the Legal Superintendence of the Housing and Urban Development Company of São Paulo in 1999. Between 1999 and 2002, she was President of the Permanent Bidding Committee of the same company.

Debora graduated in Law from the University of São Paulo (USP) in 1990, and has a postgraduate degree in Business Law from the same institution, completed in 1999. In 2006, she completed an Arbitration course at GVLaw and, in 2019, she obtained an LLM in Corporate Law from CEU Law School.

Débora was recommended by the renowned Chambers and Partners ranking and in the Legal 500 Latin America.

Débora is also a respected voice in legal literature. She is the co-author of the book “Insurance and Reinsurance – Technical, Legal and Economic Aspects”, published by Saraiva in 2010, and co-author of the works “Construction Law – Studies on the various areas of law applied to the Construction Market” (Pini, 2014) and “Real Estate Transactions – Structuring and Taxation” (Saraiva, 2016). In addition, she is a member of the International Association of Insurance Law (AIDA) – Brazilian Section, which demonstrates her influence and active participation in legal discussions of global scope.
