The new Law No. 15,040/2024, known as the Insurance Framework, was published in the Official Gazette of the Union on December 9. Prior to this law, all regulation in the insurance sector was done by rules of the regulatory authority, Susep (Superintendence of Private Insurance), and by other laws, such as the Civil Code.
